Fade to Red by Willow Aster 4 Star Review!

Dancing in pop superstar Beckham Woods’ entourage was the last thing Roxie wanted. Her life with little Leo was blissfully ordinary; she didn’t have time for the drama that stirring up old memories would surely cause. But when Roxie took a spot on an international tour with Woods and rock icon Ian Sterling, the lure of financial security and her passion for dance pulled her into an emotional storm that threatened to spin out of control and hurt the ones she loved most. Just as she began to adjust to her new life, it became apparent that danger was in the shadows, waiting for a chance to move...

***Fade to Red is a standalone novel featuring characters from True Love Story.***

My Thoughts...

If you are looking for something suspenseful then look no further than Fade to Red. Not only is this a great romance story but the author has you second guessing at every with chapters of a crazy person looking for redemption and their own happily ever after. It’s had me guessing who the crazy person was and the author gives us just enough clues to think we have things figured out but then throws you for a loop and you have to start guessing again! Not only did we get more Ian and Sparrow from True Love Story but we also meet Beckham and Roxie! I love it when an author brings back characters we know and love and give us a whole new story with new characters. Even if you haven’t read True Love Story, you can still enjoy this novel as it can be read as a standalone.

Beckham is the new Hollywood it man. As the reigning Sexiest Man Alive, he is embarking on a new US tour when he joins forces with Ian to tour together. During the dancer auditions, one stands out above the rest. He is mesmerized by Roxie and wants to spotlight her in some solo acts. He is drawn to her in more ways than he cares to admit. Always the player there is just something about her he cannot seem to get enough of.

Roxie is a single mother raising a toddler who she adores more than anything. Working a 9-5 job wasn’t cutting it so she decided to follow her dream and audition for an upcoming rock tour. She never imagined in a million years she would actually get it and be a featured dancer. Forced to make a tough decision, she decides to follow her heart and leave her son to join the tour.

Roxie does all she can to stop the advances of Beckham. She wants to hate him. She wants to have nothing to do with him. But he is relentless. He will do whatever it takes to get Roxie to see the real him, not the Rock Star persona that everyone else sees.

The closer they get the more a mystery starts unfolding. Literally a crazy person is sprinkled throughout the book. I love these little snippets but again they have me thinking, oh man… something is going to happen and when it does it won’t be good!

I was so drawn into this one and loved the suspense behind it! I wanted to have Beckham and Roxie work but it seemed like something is always there to stop them. Can they find love and happiness or will something or someone keep them apart?? You’ll need to read to find out! 4 stars!

About the Author...
Willow Aster loves nothing more than writing the day away--anywhere will do. Her ideal place to write would be a remote treehouse somewhere, but not just any treehouse. It would need to be more like a fabulous cottage inside and free of bugs. Oh!--and a refrigerator full of Coca-cola, Orangina, and cheese.
